General Exhibition Guidelines

Below are the basic guidelines for you to follow when submitting artwork for an exhibition. You will be sent specific guidelines should these general ones need to be amended.

  • You may submit 1 piece.

  • There is a hanging fee of $15 for all exhibitions with the exception of the Student Teacher Exhibition.

  • The size limit is no larger than 36" in either direction for hanging unless otherwise stated.

  • Your artwork needs to be presented in a finished way. Artwork must be properly wired - any improper wiring will unfortunately disqualify the art from being hung. Please no string, fish line or sawtooth hangers, etc. allowed.

  • Have your art ready at time of drop off. The hanging committee is not responsible for preparing your art for display.

  • Your art does not need to be for sale.

  • Sculpture or 3D work is allowed - please contact me if it needs to be displayed on a pedestal so we can make sure the size will sit comfortably and securely.

  • Please read the following very carefully: If you would like to have your art considered for the flyer and promotional material, you must send a Hi-RES image of your artwork to Jean Stephens two weeks prior to drop off. Jean’s email is jeankstephens24@gmail.com

  • If you miss the image submission drop off for the flyer, please send your image to Jean by the drop off dates of the exhibition in order to have your artwork represented on our website Gallery Page. We encourage 100% participation in this as this helps us to promote your art on social media and we also direct our followers to the website on an ongoing basis. We sell art off the website.

  • Artwork must remain in the gallery for the duration of this exhibition.

  • The gallery takes 40% of the sale of the art and collects tax. The artist receives 60%. The artist is responsible for establishing the price of their artwork.

  • All sales must go through the gallery.

  • Please click on this link at the top of this page for your art identification form. We will have extras at the drop off table if you don't have a printer.

  • Please consider helping out at Drop Off and during the Opening Reception. Email millartcenter@gmail.com to volunteer.

  • Your membership must be current. You may join or renew at the time of drop off.
